1. My morning perusal of the cricket graph shows me that was a remarkably short outrage yesterday.

2. However, said graph caused me to think, "Oh, APs must be flowing again." Then I got to the SSP and found that they're not. I only got one new AP in a few days and it's a resend. So what's getting the crickets all excited?

Still there are "total channels to do: 199" for MB splitting, so don´t expect more AP for some time. Must be a shortie "super storm"

AP are back :)

They are? I see another huge surge in crickets, but the SSP shows 4 APs ready to send (as of when I checked it 20-30 minutes ago).

I have been unable to report completed tasks from one of my PCs since 2AM today. All I get is 'no response from server'. Uploads go through OK as does reporting to Collatz, so does not seem to be a problem at my end.

Hmm..Uploads are fine but no new downloads..

Scheduler request failed:HTTP internal server error

and

Scheduler request failed: Failure when receiving data from the peer
Project Communication failed:attempting to access to reference site
Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down

those from 2 of my computers...maybe just a temporary hiccup after servicing the servers?

Pretty common response after weekly maintenance.

I still see this after maintenance, but it goes away much faster since the move.

I was just looking at the tapes that are loaded on the SSP and thought they must be cleaning out old tapes because the tape labelled 9th of April 2009 aa is only 3.89 GB verse the smallest tape I have seen in a long time. The tape has already had its Astropulse work units splat

I know it was a typo, but I think I could get behind the use of "splat" as the past tense of split when referencing work units. It just seems so wonderfully descriptive. Anyone else?

Thanks Oz for correcting my spelling mistakes and yes you are right I was using the wrong context. It will be interesting to see when it comes time to split the remaining units on the tape in my previous post whether or not it is full of shorties or average length units. Time will tell.
