Clearly I have some catching up to do here, but I will toss this out ahead of myself and get on with everything later.

3. Good morning Huskies! This is just another friendly reminder that Ukulele club will be meeting Monday at 3:25 in room 249. We will be learning new songs! And as always, there will be food. Monday, 3:25, room 249.

We have a Ukelele Club?

Hopefully soon My new optical mouse will get here, as the current MS optical mouse is malfunctioning, it needs cleaning and can't be opened, as this mouse has no screws holding the mouse together, under the pads is just plastic and it's also possible that the usb cord might have an intermittent break too. The new mouse's black with blues spots and a blue led with at least 5 buttons and a scroll wheel. My current mouse sometimes sends out double clicks or even triple, it's most annoying.

That is a very well trained raccoon! I have seen raccoons nearly bend in half to groom themselves, but I have never seen one of my backyard beasties do a forward roll. Wow!

Now then... <ahem>

SUPER DUPER TRIPLE TERRIFIC WINNING PING!!!

Saturday morning, I went to the Rules Review Meeting at Illinois Railway Museum. Actually, it was in the gym at St. John's Church, 3/4 of a mile across a field to the west of the museum, but since there's no road across the field, you have to go half a mile north, 3/4 of a mile west, and then half a mile south again. More or less. The proceeding was interrupted by

a hailstorm that was so loud on the roof of the gym that we couldn't hear the superintendent speaking, even with a PA system.

After lunch, they carried on with other details of importance to operating personnel and then gave the Rules Exam. And now, instead of having a ratty student copy of the Rules and Timetable that I printed out myself and held together with big clips, I have

my very own official copy!

I even got a better score on the test than my friend who's been a qualified conductor for years.

Ping! Ping!

Congratz.

Edit:

A policeman caught a nasty little boy with a BB gun in one hand and a raccoon in the other. "Now Listen here," the policeman said, "Whatever you do to that poor, defenseless creature I shall personally do to you" "In that case," said the boy. "I'll kiss it's butt and let it go"

The Crazy Raccoon Lady strongly advises against the kissing of raccoon butts! That would be a very good way to ingest raccoon roundworms, a parasite lethal to human beings.
