IIRC both sides fire or neither side fires. It was a pattern Mr. Richter found.

Yes over your way Wiggo your area has been hot but for some strange reason this weekend has cooled down around the ring. For 4 or 5 weeks on weekends things were really hopping. Just little ones here in the U.S. other than Alaska.

TOKYO — A moderately strong earthquake has rattled the Tokyo region, but there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The Japan Meteorological Agency says the quake hit midday Sunday with a magnitude of 5. Its epicenter was 25 miles underground in Ibaraki prefecture, north of Tokyo.

Not really the kind of fire this thread is all about, but awesome picture of the fire near LA last night. The Sand Fire in Santa Clarita.

CNN mentioned this 6.9 quake, Japan has called for evacuations, to head for high ground, which could be a tall building, like 2 stories or bigger.

Tsunami Wave spotted up to 10' high off Fukushima, according to CNN...

I've been offered an insurance policy covering earthquakes damages for 35 euros/month. But the Milan area where I live is not an earthquake zone. Maybe people in Central and Southern Italy would be asked for more.
