Re-check your well...

Well is fine....now, but could collapse in the big one. But we also have a small motor home/camper which is always stored (on the premises) with full gas, water and propane.....ready to use. Then there's the HWT and well tanks (2).

Medicine is the problem. Pharmacies only give a month's supply at a time. I'm in the VA system and they give three month's supply, but only after you're down to ~2 weeks. And most medicines have expiration dates. Tough to keep an adequate supply and even tougher to live long without them.

The 2 water wells here in the park are being worked on now. Why? Maybe a leak, the park is old..

I keep wanting to get a generator, but not having a garage, I want a shed to keep it in first. Also would be good to change my fuse box to a breaker box with a transfer switch, but in an emergency just running an extension cord to the fridge would be good enough.

Even better would be a fixed generator with auto-start, running on natural gas, but in the big one the gas would probably be disrupted.

Hmm... I have a very old stove, no electronic start, but again, with no gas, no cooking. And if it hits in the winter like the last one, I'll need some electric heat too.

I'm doomed.

A fixed one, that would be kind of hard. A portable, I'd need a good strong lock and chain when it was in use.

Me I just want to move My mobile home out of here, to land that I could own.

The news here is stating that LA had
an earthquake last night. Did any of
you people in the republic feel it?

They said it was a 3. something,
is that enough to feel even it
happens in your town?

If the quake was a couple miles or less away, very possibly, it depends on the depth too. Otherwise, No.

Slept right through it. It should have been big enough to feel.

The last quake I felt was a 5.0, located down at Ghost Town Rd and Calico Blvd, the quake was said to be 2.5 miles from where I live at and indeed that intersection is 2.5 miles away from My house. My mobile home took that quake in stride.

Sorry. can't find a link right this instant, but there was an item on the late news yesterday about a 4.0 quake in northern Michigan. Rattled nerves, cracked plaster, and knocked a few things off shelves, but no injuries or major damage. Said last quake in that area was 1947.

Seems funny that when the whole Picific rim starts moving it goes a bit crazy, then it goes back to sleep.

When I worked in CA back in the1970's it was said that so long as they kept having little quakes they weren't too worried. The logic being each little quake relieved the continuous build up of stress. When it was quiet for a long time they would get worried, and the longer the quiet the more they would fret as it meant that the stress was building up to a level where a big one was more probable - or they would get a significant swarm of little one in a very short period of time.

I guess thier is some truth to it but when it's backing up you would get the same effect in my way of thinking. I know we are in a big lock here right now and someday hell will brake loose, just where and when? no one knows.
