Well his RAC is 134,000 per day which is just under 1,000,000 a week so 42 million in around 13 months seems about right.

I hit the 15-year anniversary today. Just plugging away, not in the same league with the heavy duty, industrial strength, crunchers but got my 5% badge anyway.
Back in the early days I think it was setiathome-3.08 plodding along on a x486 at a 100 Mhz clock with a benchmark of 169 MIPS (floating) and running typically 45 hours on the work units of that time. If I am interpreting my faded yellow notes correctly there was no work buffer; one uplodaded a result and then downloaded a
new work unit. Eventually racked up 141 "classic" work units which required only 6924 CPU hours before switching over to the "new and improved" seti@home applications. Four complete system re-builds since that time with the latest one last year including a cuda-capable GPU. Now looking forward to the 20-year mark!
