Whenever a debate gets topical & action is required, how many have heard this old quote?
"Talk is cheap!"
Well, talk is not that cheap anymore...
You a good talker? Then join the coalition!
...the taxpayers don't mind!

The taxpayers dont't know in generally...
Politicians are VERY expensive!
EU for instance!

Well, lets sack the Ministers and replace them with their advisers then, could
save a lot of money.

belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

No, that'll be a lot worse as they'll spend too much time talking & not enough time acting!

There is a decrease in population growth iirc...

Yes, but the population are increasing.
Global human population growth amounts to around 75 million annually, or 1.1% per year.
The global population has grown from 1 billion in 1800 to 7 billion in 2012.
It is expected to keep growing, where estimates have put the total population at 8.4 billion by mid-2030, and 9.6 billion by mid-2050.

Nope, population growth is decreasing! Proof can be found (on the internet too), too tired now to provide it... :)TGIF, as a working Belgian citizen in Belaria, I have a Right to my Beer o'Clock!

Looking good for 2015, but this highlights just why people enter politics...

Ain't that a shame :-)

"confidence and supply is a parliamentary land flowing with milk and honey, where all of the angst of full-blown coalition is banished, but, somehow, all the advantages remain.

Next time, with (more than likely) fewer Lib Dems, (probably) more SNP MPs and (maybe) a significant UKIP presence and (perhaps) a couple of Greens there could be a range of possible governing combinations, but more than two parties would probably be required.

Another problem is that if the Lib Dems are reduced to 30 or so MPs, or maybe fewer, they don't really have the numbers to sustain a full-on coalition."

Keeping Cleggie as leader & that's a definite!

You really do have to love politicians :-)

I've called them: -
Muppets
Clowns
Con-artists
Thieves
Liars
Asswipes
Perverts
Bombers

& there are those here who dislike that.

Well, what's good for the goose is good for the gander...

"The deputy prime minister also said that in a free society, "people have to be free to offend each other".

He added: "We have no right not to be offended.

"That fundamental principle of being free to offend people and not saying you have a right not to be offended in a free democratic society such as ours is exactly what was under threat by these murderous barbarians"."

Clegg "dismayed"

So lets see all those stiff complaints going to the DPM's office...

...Oh, & just stating that the complaint is made is unacceptable, post the proof!

It was the national anthem and the lowering of the flag . pity it's all about money now as they don't even say sorry if there is a problem with the show your watching . My how things change.

It'll be intriguing to see what happens in four months time, Farage has really got the established politicians worried. Good!
They never lose an opportunity to decry, criticise, condemn, etc, anything he says, yet each time he comes back stronger. I'm not sure i want him in government, but i have to admire his tenacity.

Now the question of for whom to vote. Last time i have a choice of five: Red, blue, orange, green, and BNP. Each of whom i can rule out for different reasons.
If only i had a Monster Raving Loony candidate in my area!

It's going to be interesting TV time ahead...

Party leaders in TV Debate row

Really do like one of the comments made...

"This is like watching a group of badly behaved children in the playground. They should be ashamed of their behaviour. If I or my colleagues in the company I worked for behaved like this we would have been dismissed."

Wish this were my constituency!

Al Murray's Pub Landlord to stand against Nigel Farage
Comedian Al Murray will stand in his guise as The Pub Landlord against UKIP leader Nigel Farage at the general election.

1p a pint, now that's a policy i can get behind!

Beer & baccy

First paragraph of point 4 sums it up quite nicely.

Also, i'm dubious about point 14.
