A lot of "nice" things comes in two's.........

...for starters, at the beginning there was the ark.

And when you've finished with the bulls there are the rams and boars to get through. ;-)

Cheers.

I use to do a lot of "old fashioned marking" in my younger days. ;-)

Cheers.

Hi Wiggo! I'm um... very happy for you :)

It filled in the time between feral animal hunting sessions out in the country side.

Cheers.

I remember reading somewhere that Australia used to have quite a problem with that (feral animals, not your "old-fashioned marking" :) is that still the case?

It certainly is still the case here, but with a few other species added to the list these days. Marking these days in most cases has been improved with technological advances (very little mess involved these days).

Cheers.

You rotten lot, you well stitched me up! I didn't know did I :-) Good job I twigged though. Okaaaay, noted and names taken down for future reference! Blimey, I dunno, you can't trust yer own grandmother round here ....

When you get asked questions like that, it's best to zoom to about 200%, it's what I did and ended up laughing.

Oh, myyyyy, that was a good laugh.

I knew what they are, but I figured the stout was just intended to go with them, not that it was made with them. I had to zoom in too to find that out.

Then there's the tourist in Spain. He goes into a local restaurant somewhere and asks for the house specialty. They bring him a plate of steaming pasta topped with two large meatballs in sauce. They're delicious. He asks what they are and the waiter explains that they're the testicles of the bull that lost the bullfight today.

The man thinks they're so wonderful that the next night he returns and asks for the same dish. The waiter looks a little askance, but after some delay brings him the plate of pasta with two very small meatballs. The man asks why they're so much smaller. The waiter says, "Señor, the bull, he does not always lose."

I do believe it is and brewed by the Wychwood brewery who make one of my favourite beers Hobgoblin a few of which will be enjoyed later this evening.

I haven't tried said beer as it is seasonal and hard to find.

"The Dog's Bollocks

Seasonals - November

Standing out from the crowd, an old favourite returns that always lives up to its name.

Pale golden, well rounded flavours warm the palate & come together with a hint of nuts, resulting in a robust fulsome aroma that hangs low 'til the last.

A great excuse to go & see a man about a dog."

Thanks Bernie! :)

That is a wonderful write-up :) roll on November!

Now Hobgoblin is in fact a very firm favourite of a friend of mine... though I haven't had it myself. He's not too keen on dogs... but... well he may be into the bits that... well... hang low 'till the last. :) I'll try get him some come November :)
