Ok I've just been informed the pictures have been removed from the Allie profile (they were there early AM today). Once they're removed from this thread (http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=74352&postid=1491257#1491257) the issue is over for me as promised.

With the fact that a serious point is being discussed interspersed with jokes shows me this thread is getting near the end.

aka_sam/Kenzie/Allie has broken no laws as far as I am aware, he had not broken any rules as far as SETI is concerned.

So all the accounts should be closed? Why? For posting pictures it is almost certain he has the copyright for? For posting pictures he has the copyright for and suggesting they are of a dead person who never actually existed.

My main purpose in contacting Fred was to get this to stop, that's all, just get the fantasy to stop. I believe that has been achieved.

Unless anyone has good reasons perhaps it is time to close this thread. I will still answer intelligent PM's.

Considering that Admin Fred quoted the posting rules for this thread , about the only thing left is a bit of humour to express how I feel about being stooged by another Seti@home troll and ignor all of the stupid comments being thrown about.

Yes-we got fooled-all of us and I want this to end--trust me, but it sucks when you work for 3 months based on a premise-encourage folks to donate based on that premise, hammer out a speech based on the premise--all based on a misrepresentation. Now I have to hammer out a seriously revised speech *DUE FRIDAY AKA TOMORROW*.

No blackmail would be a demand and my mind is not on revenge--it's on a good faith effort to stop the misrepresentation on these forums in this specific situation.

I am making a good faith request and I have publically laid out a good faith promise in return for all to see. In the least I would request the misrepresented pictures could be removed from both the profiles involved and this thread.

Blurf in all fairness, the author of kenzie/allie/sam/patrice never specified any place where donations should be sent in kenzie's memory... only you did that. Would you have Fred freeze your account as well and accuse you of fraud?

On the sunny side, it seems that all who donated to your cause in Kenzie's name are happy to still have their donations remain where they were placed. People are basically good. Isn't that great?!!!

I guess in a roundabout way that does count as him thinking that Kenzie wasn't who she said she was.
