Kenzie was among us for a long time and was much loved by people. Its the same person we are talking about here, fact or fiction, whoever the person was they must have put a lot of themselves into being Kenzie to be able to keep the charade up for so long.

All we really know is that the creator of "kenzie et al" is a professional photographer.

I too am curious as to the motivations behind his creation of so many interesting internet characters, but if he does not wish to share his motivations, then I shall respect his privacy.

There were some aspersions cast upon our Team Racoon, I thought were over the top, Yes aka was a member. But how do you vette anyone on the internet? And why would you at a volunteer project.

Im like Celt, I come from an age where a handshake was your word and bond. And it meant something back then. Silly us.

I would like to know why the decption, But I doubt we will get one. And I wont lose any sleep over it if we dont.

I've used 'fake names' or as they are called on Forums 'handles' off and on since at least 1980 online, but then I predate the net, I used to dial out to the Forums predecessor the BBS(Bulletin Board System).

I contacted Fred because I believed all of you who knew and liked the Kenzie persona need to know the truth, not to engage in witch hunts, I will not support that. Kenzie/Allie never existed, who the pictures were of is now irrelevant.

Most of us were fooled for years, we now know the truth, unfortunately you cannot actually believe anybody you meet on the internet, until you either meet them in person or meet someone who has met them and has been photographed with them. So currently there are around 8 people on SETI who I consider my friends 2 I am not sure about, and the rest, while you might be who you say you are and might be trustworthy I just do not know and reserve judgement and however you ask and whatever your cause I will never send money to you.

Yeah, me too. Got fooled big time. Live and learn.

Some of you saw red flags and warning signs. I didn't, probably becasue I wasn't looking for them. Call me naive, but even after almost 60 years on this rock, I take people at face value unless/until i have good reason not to. That's probably not gong to change. I yam what I yam, as Popeye would say.

I'm also concerned by the level of vitriol in this thread. We don't know all the facts, maybe never will, but some here seem ready to have the perpetrator of this hoax arrested for child molestation. No evidence presented to support that charge. 15 & 16 year-old girls become photographers' models all the time, usually with their parents' consent and supervision. Let's not expend anger that isn't warranted. Anger and hatred take a lot of psychic energy, I have better things to do with mine. Does this guy owe us an apology and an explanation for his fraud? Sure, and I'd very much like to hear it, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it. I'm not going to let this guy hold my life hostage. We come here to enjoy each other's company. Lets return to that.

I have to agree, there is too much vitrol going on here.

Look at it this way, had this been a novel, many of you would have said what interesting characters.

Personally, I think whoever it is should stop taking photographs and write books, he/she would make a lot more money.

I still salute that person for being able to write and entertain people for over seven years, and as SetiForums has stated, they served the project well.

How about focusing on these points rather than any perceived fraud or child molesting which so far looks unfounded.

Humour takes away a lot of pain. Try it and you will end up laughing.

Unless legal information is provided that deliberate attempts at fraud or copyright infringement were made, it is best to let sleeping dogs lie.

As for the child statements, according to the modelling sites, Hunter Reilly is 25 years old and with this issue being ongoing for seven years, made her 18 then, so legal requirements in that respect have been met.
