Late-night win after the VFW meeting.

kind of a good school day today. Got my calculus test back and got an A on it which is okay (was hoping to get that little + sign after the A) :/

I couldn't take calculus unti l was in college. Got Cs - should have been As, but the professor and I didn't get along. Learned more from the text than from her. Then I went through Navy nuclear propulsion training, and had a similar problem with my calculus instructor there. To this Lt., everything was "intuitively obvious", plus he had a very thick Japanese accent. I and another classmate who had calculus in college wound up teaching it to half our class at night study. Anybody tells you that simply knowing the subject well qualifies you to teach it is full of bovine excrement.

i'm taking ap maths so we get calculus in grade 10. So far it's we're just taking the simple stuff (just the basics of differential and integral) but after March break we get into the stuff that makes your brain come out of your ears.

Should be fun. :P

Well, I like my brain right where it is; between my ears, inside my skull. ;-) At least, it was there the last time I checked. :-)

Yeah, same here.

Allie, if you lived in Naperville, we'd welcome you to the Naperville North High School Math Team, which has taken something like 27 of the last 30 state championships. (I just checked our web site to verify that statistic, but couldn't find anything.)

Ping!ing before the outrage. Hoping they fix Oscar and whatever is wrong with the dwindling supply of ready to send, and that one of my Betas finishes before I have to walk away from my desk for a while. It's at 99.6%, but it will drop back to about 98% when I unplug the phone and plug it in again. 166.5 hours. The other task is about 7 minutes and .7% behind it.

I can't believe the heater powered up yesterday when it was 78F in here and the smoke alarm near the front door went off this morning when there was no smoke, spooky, the central heater won't power up on the blower setting at all yet, maybe the heater needs some adjustments by the heating tech. Strange.

I still have my heating on and all the windows are open... It's electrical heating and I don't know if I should shut it down...Who knows if it'll start snowing next week...
