He is preparing for impact - remove all loose items from you pockets and stow in the lockers, ensure your seat is in an upright position........

Well of course as RAC never actually gets to zero, he may be hovering between 1 and 0.05 ft from the ground for a while, several years possibly!!

I find the biggest hindrance to tuning is the time it takes to get results. This experiment has gone on for one moon and there is still no final answer. You have fallen way more than I thought already.

Normally it will take 6-8 weeks for an experiment here to get a result.

Cheers.

By Free-DC his daily production is in the range of 8,617 so still a lot to fall.

And still there are ones (very few now i belive) who say nothing is wrong with creditscrew.

If my observations have shown me anything I expect the RAC to drop below the average daily credit amount and then slowly come back up to level out. So bottoming out around 6500-7500 before coming back up to over 8000 would not be surprising to me.

That's what i'm expecting too, he's got plenty of pending results,

with current observations due to lack of AP's I'm expecting the same drop off I'm getting :

with AP only my GPU crunches ~1200 / hour while Credit New only grants me ~420 / hour for MB (running 2 instances on a "moderate" GTX660)

That's about 35% so I should say Sten will eventually level off on about ~ 12500 RAC.

(etit) after a low of course with all the MB's still waiting to be validated, so 8500/9000 wouldn't be a terrible guess...

You can add my ATI AP host now that it's out of APs again. It was still going up from the last time it ran outta APs. As you can see it had dropped from around 30k to 7k and was still headed down last time. 30/4.3= ~7. That's about what my other ATI cards produce. Over FOUR TIMES LESS CREDIT running ATI MB verses ATI AP.

Yes, I'm leaning at MB giving only 25% of what AP gives on most ATI cards. Since I do not care at all about my RAC, I will continue this, until it levels out. That it should be bad I knew, but not this bad. It seems as if you were totally right about this. Not that I ever really doubted you.

I've run this test a few times. I have much Experience in the matter. At least with Windows, and now Linux, you can gain a few token ATI credits when the APs run out. With my Mac however it's over, nada, zip, nothing for your ATI card when the APs run out...Freefall...

Well, I'll continue, partly because I'm interested in where my particular setup levels out, and partly because I may be crazy :-)

What is this may of which you speak? I'm pretty sure we all know you are a pecan.

Only in 2010th I could say I know what my host can do in SETI...
Still need to find what HD6950 could do at its max, after all those years...

Well, this may take a long time. I estimate at least one more month before it levels off. I have plenty of time though. I do not suffer from any deadly disease, and I'm not that old, only 58 (some may say that is ancient though), but I can outrun most 20 year olds on 2Km, and I have an endless supply of patience, and I do not care too much about how high my RAC is.

I refuse to stop this test, until my RAC levels off.

Added: So far though, I've lost around 66%, or 2/3 of my previous RAC. CreditNew is really working fine.

You see what happened on My Windows 8.1 Host, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=74262&postid=1495622. It ran out during the results for the 26th. The following result had dropped from 30+k to less than 10k...in one day.

Maybe we are ancient, too ancient to be able to realize how ancient we are :-)

No. Not ancient. Just crazy. Doing silly things like running 2km ;)

That would mean that in my case 100% MB will give around 30% of the credit I get when running 100% AP.

Oh yes creditscrew it´s working perfect.

Maybe it´s better you buy one of this, at least if funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFCRutOTdCk
