Woo-Hoo! I'm back in business! Yellow Dog 4 is up and running perfectly. Well, except for the damn dmasound_pmac bullshit, it's running fine.

Now comes the hard part: Which version/nightly of the BOINC source code should I compile? I'm not aware of any "bad" versions available, but there isn't exactly a de-facto benchmark release listed either.

I need a reply ASAP - It's 03:06 EST, and I've got to have this machine ready to run by 07:00.

Why didn't I think of that! Carl, when you're right, you're right!

Phew! For a minute there I thought you were going to say "truth, justice, and the incineration of Guido".

I'll leave you to it!

Can't you just download the binary and just run that?

Not on Yellow Dog. Yes, it's based on Fedora Core (2? 3?), but it's a ppc architecture. Linux for x86 is listed, not Linux/ppc.
