Woo-Hoo! I'm back in business! Yellow Dog 4 is up and running perfectly. Well, except for the damn dmasound_pmac bullshit, it's running fine. Now comes the hard part: Which version/nightly of the BOINC source code should I compile? I'm not aware of any "bad" versions available, but there isn't exactly a de-facto benchmark release listed either. I need a reply ASAP - It's 03:06 EST, and I've got to have this machine ready to run by 07:00. |

Ask over at the crunchers- they mine computers Why didn't I think of that! Carl, when you're right, you're right! Cafe Seti is busy mining truth, wisdom and ancient astronauts Phew! For a minute there I thought you were going to say "truth, justice, and the incineration of Guido". I'll leave you to it! |

Can't you just download the binary and just run that? |

Not on Yellow Dog. Yes, it's based on Fedora Core (2? 3?), but it's a ppc architecture. Linux for x86 is listed, not Linux/ppc. |
