Message 1484562 - Posted: 4 Mar 2014, 22:02:25 UTC - in response to Message 1484560.

Would solve all overpopulation issues. No woman in her right mind would put herself through that :)

Ah yes, but imagine a future world where there is no childbirth. They use a Startrek transporter system to magically pop the baby into the cot beside you. Then they take them over for you, and bring them back aged 5 all potty trained, and no terrible two's or frantic fours!

:) perhaps whilst you're designing that, you might consider rob's problem too? :)
Mid-teens can be tricky. Fortunately my children appear to have inherited my ability to fall asleep after two glasses of wine...

although my daughter did fall off her shoes once and break her ankle - which as I recall woke her up quite a lot :)

Fall asleep? My oldest? Difficult...

He he he he he he. Hi Julie. :)

Hi annie:) No serious, my youngest sleeps like a rose, isn't that indoctrinated by society...*sigh*

Most probably yes... *double sigh*... :) My youngest taught me I don't need sleep. Then I taught me how to wake up about seven hours after getting up.

Does mean I discover things about myself I didn't know - like I've been walking around with a blob of margerine attached to a sliver of ham in my hair.

Hello everyone! MAJOR COMPUTER CRASH! Have boinced back now! Severe withdrawal though... so forgive me if I pop up all over the place. :) Hope everyone happy and well!

Was that caused by your head hitting the keyboard after your very early morning when everyone else over there was asleep?

Cheers.

HA HA HA HA HA HA - VERY GOOD. :) If it was, I don't remember it.

Wow. You hit your head hard enough to cause amnesia?

Welcome back. :-)

In mood to eat my jelly babies feet first tonight! How are you? :)

IRL I wish I could get a supply of jelly babies. There was a British Import Store back east somewhere; but, I lost their information. They would carry jelly babies infrequently. I managed to get two bags from them once. Regular stores in America can't get them... I don't know why. :-(

Otherwise, I'm doing fine. :-)

I fixed your url; once at that site, I used their search engine and found the Bassett's Jelly Babies. Thank you for that.

Also; I did some digging through my paperwork, and found my old receipt for the jelly babies that I purchased. The store I bought from is "USA Based - British Goods Online" at USA Based - British Goods Online. (I hope this link works outside the US.) This store is located in Pennsylvania; and, shipping is where the cost gets expensive. For an order of $10.99, shipping is currently $8.95.

I'm presently a little low on funds; so, I will hold off a little while before reordering my jelly babies.

That sounds like daylight robbery to me! How many bags do you get for that? I will do some research to see how prices compare. (Haribo also do jellybabies - don't know whether you have a preference?)

If posting my end not too expensive (and sending sweets that way is legal - don't want them blown up in any controlled explosions now do we) and as long you don't get thumped with a customs and excise bill, I will happily send you a bag as a gift. :) And thank you for fixing that link!

Um - posting my end will probably be very expensive. @.@ Might just stick to the sweets

Ah well you see, if you buy the Gold Policy, they help you move house, while they are away for the weekend.

@.@ ohhhhhhh...you've reminded me of one of my childhood fears... except they'd move house every morning as soon as I'd left for school. :)

On the suggestion of a friend, I checked Amazon. They actually sell jelly babies!!! :-) I found a 600g package for $9.99 plus shipping, no tax. I couldn't resist; so, I just bought for packages, and shipping on it came to $8.99 - my grand total is $48.95 for 2400g of jelly baby deliciousness. As it turns out; though, the company is in the UK so, shipping will take a month to get to me. As the order was placed at 2:30 PM - PST, I anticipate the order won't be filled until some time tomorrow, and won't be shipped until some time on Monday.

Well - have done a few things for my children which have had unforeseen consequences. Like joining the "the social network" outside seti.

I could not find a "user on tricycle with training wheels version" So...hurtled headlong into facebook where I am currently stuck in a heap of tangled me and trike at the bottom of a wall. Does that counts as a "life event"...?

Not content with that - so that I could tweet my daughter congratulating her on the rave reviews she received for her stage performance (she WAS brilliant - but it's good to know that's not just the mum in me speaking)...

... I entered twitter and became it's first genuine twit! (PLEASE feel free to correct me - it would be nice to know I am not alone on this planet)

WAS offered a list of celebrities and politicians to follow to "get me started" - all of whom I WOULD follow if they were heading towards a cliff... So chose none of them.

This is my question...

Is it normal practise to follow yourself on twitter? I don't know - but I am, and last time I checked, I still am - and, fortunately for everyone else averse to going round in dizzying circles - am the only one doing so. I find it quite disconcerting. How do I find the time to follow anyone else? I also keep clicking "resend confirmation email" so that I can enjoy all the twitter features (which I suppose will broaden my horizons beyond that of my rear end) and it never arrives. Are they trying to tell me to go away?

The downward spiral continued yesterday when I went to Elephant and Castle. I have discussed that elsewhere in the forums. Please don't make do it again. All I can say is I'm not the person I used to be. For the moment, till I work out who I am now - feel free to continue calling me anniet.

ps I have also had chair and keyboard issues - I believe it may have been Wiggo who put that concept out into the cosmos. :)

I spend way too much time on Facebook.

I'm also on Twitter, but I'm never on it, if you know what I mean. I use it mainly to follow the tweets from steam locomotive crews on excursions that interest me. I can't remember the last time I tweeted, if I ever have.

I doubt I'm following more than a dozen people/organizations. I'm not interested in what the celebs have to say.
