I don't think I knew of him either, but I do love flamenco guitar playing - so I will rectify my ignorance immediately! The world is a sadder place when we lose the heroes that inspired us. I am sorry.

I, too, enjoy Spanish and Flamenco guitar. I have a few of his works in my collection, but much more of Segovia, and more modern players Armik, Govi, and Ottmar Leibert.

The passing of a great artist is always painful, but thanks be that they lived, and that we have recordings to preserve their works for others to hear and enjoy.
