When the screensaver starts it shows what task is running and what this computer is participating in. But the graphics don't ever load up. I am using Win 7 Pro SP1, Boinc 7.2.39. Graphics drivers, etc are up to date.

When going to Start\Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization\Screen Saver, Settings, what are your settings for the different sliders?

OK, that is the 2 minutes for BOINC that you are seeing as to what tasks are running. You only get the project screen savers if the project has a screen saver.

How long have you waited for the Seti graphics to come up?
Is Seti work actually running, or is work from any of your other projects running? Do the screen savers from Rosetta@Home, Einstein@Home and any of your other projects show?

The Seti graphics will only show when actual Seti work runs.
You can check if they work, by selecting a running Seti task, then:
- In Simple View, click Task Commands->Show graphics.
- In Advanced View, click the Show graphics button.

If that shows the graphics, they work. If that also doesn't show the graphics, or the Show graphics button stays grayed out, you have other problems.

Yes I went under each of my projects and the graphics was grayed out. That is the first time I have seen that.

So my projects are running but no graphics to display all of the sudden.

Boring I guess when all you get is the text of the project running and no graphics to watch them work.

Did you select a Running task? (on Tasks tab)

Yes I selected the 2 tasks that were running. Both had the tab Graphics grayed out.

Those two that were running, were either of them GPU tasks? If so, there is no graphics for any app running on the GPU.

they could have been. I don't know.

I went to version 7.0.64 and the same running projects do have the graphics and I click on the tab and they show up.

But the graphics won't come up on there own.

If I recall correctly, the screen saver won't display graphics if the graphics card is busy doing crunching.

My problem is slightly different - I can enable to graphics box for each running task, but I no longer see the Fourier Transform histogram in the display box.

Is this because I am using on-board Intel graphics, and if so what is the best recommendation for a mid-level 3D Graphics card (I don't play games)

Yes, the missing graphics display (the Fourier Transform histogram) is a known issue with Intel HD-enabled graphics. I have the same problem on my Core i7 2600k w/HD3000 graphics in my HTPC.

Any mid-level NVidia or ATi grahpics card will do these days. However, when those are used to crunch data, they cannot display the SETI@home graphics screen saver at the same time. If you do not wish to crunch data on the GPU, then any will work to display the screen saver graphics. Just be sure to load the manufacturer's drivers as full OpenGL support is required.
