Oh, I think you're onto something there!

So, Angela is the only one now who knows where everything is at. So when Eric needs something, he has to call her to find out where it is, and she gets the added bonus of hearing his voice and making sure he's not reviewing those applications for younger, hotter women.

My husband would drown in garbage, were it not for my occasional life lines. Eric shows no indication of knowing what to do with either a trash can or a recycle bin.

I don't know if you've seen the movie "Fight Club" but I am pretty sure their house is how every male would live if left to their own devices.

Does he need to know?

Looks to me like he has a very capable volunteer who looks after him and takes care of all these "mundane" tasks.

Then again you could blame it on his mother for not training him properly at an early age.

I am quite capable of putting stuff in said receptacles. I just hate emptying them.

I know that my mother-in-law did her very best. Some children are simply untrainable!

I can sympathize...I tend to build "piles" around my home. During my loving wife's OCD cleaning sprees, I will get yelled at and they will vanish...but only temporarily. They reappear within a few days. :)
