How can a work unit/application which has been crunched by CUDA be validated right after BOINC-Manager update? Usually all the work units are listed as "Completed, waiting for validation"! 17 Feb 2014, 15:05:45 UTC 18 Feb 2014, 3:20:50 UTC Completed and validated <-- THIS IS WHAT I MEAN! 42,848.56 63.46 480.00 Period Search Application v101.11 (cuda55) . Validation only requires that at least you and your quorum partner have completed the workunit and strongly agree on the results. Therefore, if your quorum partner has finished their workunit before you finish your copy, as soon as you report the server can run the validation check and grant credit right away. |

Hi, OK, so I'm the "validator" in this case? Couldn't understand why the unit crunched by CUDA55 didn't need a validation ;) . No, you'd be the second copy. The validator is a process that runs on the server that checks both copies once they're returned. |
