Hi everyone, its been forever since I posted. I was wondering if anyone knew of any boinc projects that are bound by I/O? I am working on notably the fastest storage on earth and wondered if there was something I can use to contribute and put this storage through its paces.

I'm not aware of any off the top of my head... but I am curious... what kind of I/O are we talking about? Network? Local bus? Storage subsystem? Other?

We are talking about a Nand flash, Windows server 2012R2 Storage Server, SMB 3.0 direct, RDMA 64tb appliance. In the range of 1.3 Million IOPS plus with spike free with latencies in microseconds. :)

Projects that are completely IO bound tend to not do very well and dry up. There have been only one or two that I am aware of, but they are gone.

Impressive. I would love to help you test that thing out but know of no way to do so. Let me know if you do find anything that can stress test that thing, and report back the results to us. I'd really like to know! :-)
