Hello crunchers ;)

My standard setup for the GPU in @home preferences for work is only 20% !?!?

How much of your GPU do you use? 50%? 100%
Is it at safety precaution that only 20% is used?

And now we are talking about it, how much of your CPU do you use?

What is: RAC: 441 ???

The Maximum CPU % for graphics value in the Project Preferences, can only be found under Custom settings. They're not for GPU calculations, but for how much CPU the screen saver can use to calculate all the graphs, stars and oscillations of the screen saver.

The GPU applications at Seti don't use a screen saver, they come without a graphics application, as the GPU is used to do the actual calculations with that would otherwise be done on a CPU, e.g. on a system without a GPU.

RAC stands for Recent Average Credit and is a value that shows how well your computer is doing. Its calculation is a bit difficult to explain, but it's based on today's credit + 1/2 of the credit 2 weeks ago + 1/4 of the credit 4 weeks ago + ... (thanks for that John).

It's a value that decays. When you don't crunch it'll slowly fall to near zero.

Hello,

OK, I see. Thanks.
So this is not the reaon the GPU is sleeping?? ;)

I found that my GPU now is accepted by Boinc, but is not doing any work.. Its just sleeping.. But I wrote about it, in another thread. Just wanted to let you know, why I asked.

Thanks for the help ;)
