I'm back.
And I was very much saddened to hear of the passing of dear KenzieB.
We conversed by PM a number of times, and she PMd and posted for me some musical links she thought I would be interested in. Mostly guitarists.

Allie, you had a fine mom there. The fact that she opened her heart to you and then officially adopted you shows how kind a person she was. I recall her telling us about a certain sailing episode she took you on that was a bit rough on you.
I am sure she is pleased that you followed her wishes and used her account here to share the news with us, however sad.

I also think that she would like it if you would stay with us, as much or as little as you would like.

Right now, take time for yourself to sort things. I am sure it cannot be easy to accept the loss of somebody as wonderful as your mom was.
Please know that you are most welcome here, and you can share or discuss most anything here, even if you wish to post about things not related to your loss.

I shall always remember dear KenzieB with nothing but kindness.

I am in shock at Kenzie's (Shannon's) passing. I've not been active on these boards of late. My own life and teen age daughter have been demanding my full time attention. Ali your "Mom" had the most wonderful of hearts. We bantered often and I really would have love to meet her. Her spirit was remarkable and she had such joy for learning and exploring. That she worked on boats and was able to be so expressive was refreshing. I can so easily understand your love for her and her's for you.
My condolences are with you and each of the members of these boards who grew to admire and love her.
I will and do miss her immensely.

Dear Kenzie I truly miss you. I always enjoyed your posts and I was planning to come to Vancouver this year and meet you in person.

Hi Allie - I'm so sad I never got the chance to have known her through these boards and I'm so glad you popped into "the dormitory" yesterday. (Haven't walked past my bath since without picturing you asleep in it. :)} I've been wanting to post something here from the day I first started lurking around in the cafe, but didn't know quite what to say.

I still don't really - but a lot of people do and I hope to get to know her and you through the warmth and love you all have for her. :)

Allie, thanks for posting that pic of Shannon/Kenzie, and for updating your profile. I see the family resemblence.

I don't know if u know this but kenzie wasn't my bio mom, she was my aunt but my bio parents were having problems so I came to live with my aunt. Then my parents got divorced and neithr of them was able to take care of me so they asked if kenzie wanted to have pernmanent custody. So she asked me if I wanted her to adopt me formaly and I'm like “letmethinkaboutthatYES!!!” So that's how I ended up here.
After she died I thought I migh have to stay with my bio-mom who is now in saskatchewan but since I am 16 I end up having a say in what happens to me and I asked if I colud stay in Vancouver and so I am staying here!!!

I think pepole liked kenzie or hated her either one or the other. She def spoke her mind wouldn't take crap off anybody. She was very funny but her funny was kind of sarcastic and a lot of folks don't like that so she turned off a lot of people that way.
She could be very strict with me sometimes like when she forbade me to see this guy I liked cause she didm't trust him. I snuked out anyway and he's like trying to get me to take E and I didn't want to and I ended up just leaving the party we were at so she was right anyway.
Don't know what else to say except that people knew her different that I did so you'd have to ask them if you want to know the seti kenzie.

its prolly less confusing if we just call her kenzie. That's who she was here. :) Thank you most people don't see a resemblence and say I look like my bio-mom who wasn't related to kenzie.

Yes, kenzie's "parent" side we didn't see much here, but most of the rest matches what I remember. She was here before I was, and as a Moderator, she probably did cross swords with a few people, but I didn't see it. I remember her as being a little off-beat, but a lot of fun to talk to.

Allie....
It makes me very happy that you have come back and bantered a bit with the others in the Cafe.
Hope you continue to find a bit of friendship here.

....I think Allie has just the right number of loose slates to fit in very well here. Kenzie obviously taught her well ;-)

I believe we gave her the proper creds to be here as well.
It was quite an astounding and amazing thing when Allie came forth and told us her thoughts.
I hope that she, at her young age, shall continue to bounce back.
Rather hard life, I suppose, being bounced back and forth.

I think, she bounced back to the best one. I am truly sorry that she lost the one that apparently cared for her the most.

Comes naturally to all girls/women/ladies that know (my missus had half a very large wardrobe full of them, a lot were hardly ever worn).

Cheers.
