Can you please post a link to her obituary, if there is one?

I don't know if there is one. Someone else asked as well. I am staying with a couple of other people who are members her and I will ask when one of them comes home.

Thanks Allie. You gave me a chuckle in spite of my sadness.

I guess Kenzie (Shannon) would rather have it that way. :-)

I think mom would rather go with a smile than a tear. And I have to remind myself that this is a shock for everyone here but for me mom has been gone for nearly a month and I've know that she was going to go since November so we're all adapting I guess is the best way of puttnig it.

And I am sorry to everyone for taking so long in posting this but it took awhile to get enough points to make a post and to try and find a way of syaing it all.

I couldn't agree more. And I'd like to add that even though I didn't know her personally, I'm really strangely busted up about this.

Maybe it's the shock, or maybe it's that she's too young for all that! I've got some pretty strong words that I'd like to say about cancer, but it'd surely get me banned, but DARN YOU KenzieB!

Why did you do me like this? I've got to quit spamming this thread, and get along in life!

I'm going to sign off now, and try to clear my head.

I lied. Here I am again, and wanted to mention that I just sent a Private msg to you. At first I knew that you'd get email notification, but seeing as you're prolly using her account, it makes sense that you may not have access to her email.

So check your messages. I don't bite. (Much anyway.) :-)

There is no need to be sorry Allie. You have done a good job of carrying out Kenzies wishes. And I assure you we are all grateful to you for this and my heart goes out to you dear one for accomplishing such a heartbreaking task.

Hi Allie, we've heard about you from your Aunt/mum and I'm very sorry to hear about her passing.

Could you please let me know where she has been laid to rest? I'd be happy to lay some flowers on behalf of all of us at seti.

Allie,

Your Aunt/Mom was a great, caring, and kind person. I remember from awhile back. I had taken a long break from these boards; so, I don't know if she ever mentioned me to you. However; I considered her a friend.

She will be sorely missed. God bless you and your family at this time.

I'll second that. Those of us who have been through the loss of a loved one know that it takes time to get to where you can deal with certain things. For some that takes longer than others. We all grieve, and recover, differently. You owe us no apologies.

Oh My. Allie I am so sorry to hear that you mom has died. She was a wonderfull lady with a quick wit also. When I became a mod she she PMed me with a link to a panic button. When you pressed it a mushroom cloud appeared. That was her way of telling me, It wont be easy.

It was Kenzie who did a seti fund raiser at Christmas time one year where she showed a picture of some shoes and if you Donated you could vote for what she should buy. She bought some orange high heels and psoted a pic of her ankles in them. She was a hoot. If my memory is correct she let Angela and myself have a pun war in that same thread.

Now we know why she gradualy stopped posting.

Allie, My heart goes out to you. Please take comfort that we who knew her here on the boards will miss her a lot, And we mourn with you.

Hi Allie,

Yes I had a big soft spot for Kenzie as well, and she knew that. Yes she did love boats and was studying for her skippers ticket, when she got made redundant. I think she had a part share in a sail boat somewhere as well. Obviously we don't know whther it was a burial or a cremation, but ES99 is also in Vancouver so if you could let her know her final resting place, I would love some flowers from her friends here to be put there.

Chris

That would be nice indeed.

Allie, thank you so much for telling us this. I am so sorry to learn of her death. Kenzie was a very intelligent and wonderful person. I enjoyed many conversations with her both in public and private. Her knowledge and appreciation of science was very strong and appreciated. My thoughts go out to you, and all those Kenzie cared about. She will be greatly missed.

I'm happy to do it Chris. If its a crematorium that's fine. They usually have a peace garden or something to lay flowers. It shouldn't be too much trouble for me to do it.
