Or do like Steve´s, use a liquid cooling device. But that it´s for very advanced users only. BTW I´m still working on one who use beer as the coolant fluid but i allways drink all the coolant before i put it to work. :) |

Another enquiry from the volunteer who started all this off: I am contemplating adding one GTX 780ti to my computer which already has a 580 NVIDIA card, can you ask the guys please if this poses a problem. My new computer (TM) i7-4960X with 3.60 GHz and 6 processors, would have two GTX 780ti cards. I hope that will work. My immediate instinct is to follow the usual rule for sizing power supplies: think of a number and double it. [OK, and then go and do some proper research on 'gold' efficiency and single-rail 12V supplies] |

Hold out on buying high end video cards, especially the r9 290/x. Coin miners have driven the prices up 150% of list; they are out of stock at that price also. This goes for 1500W and above power supplies too. By the end of the summer when these "coin miners" go the way of the "Beanie Baby" bust look for less than one year old cards to sell for a few hundred dollars. Happy hunting. |
