I will be off for a 1 week or 2. Is it safe to leave Seti@home on full preformance, or should i restrict it to lower levels? I am worried about core heating. |

i think it also depends on what your normal temperatures are. if they seem borderline high at normal use, it might not be good to keep it going unsupervised for many days. if the temperatures are ok, i think it's probably ok as long as a fan doesn't suddenly stop working. not sure what good temps are. mine are 50-54C on cpu and 46-48C gpu when room temperature is set to 67-70F on my thermostat in the winter. |

Of course, you can also just turn the system off for the time you're away. Saves on the electrical bill, and wear of the system. Especially if you're worried about anything (over)heating and you not being able to personally check it every so many moments. It's the simplest method, really. |
