> I've been away working for sometime and It looks like WWIII on cafe seti.Wants > been going down?Bring me up to date. An evangelical Crristian named WordWeaver, and others from his team the Christian Cruncers Club, were using the boards here at Cafe SETI to try to convert the masses. He has a very unscientific view of the universe (his right, but rather odd at a scientific project such as this), which he spread in a militant and offensive manner (this was objectionable). He posted long Bible quotes, but would not discuss issues with others who took offense or simply had a different view. His website had posts saying that certain posters here were being targeted for conversion, and that certain others would be ignored because they were not candidates for salvation. Thus, his statements were challenged, but he would not participate in further discussion unless you were being groomed for Chritianity. In addition, the guy specifically insulted indivduals, other religions, and even other Christian churches. A few days ago, WordWeaver closed all the threads he had started (changed the names to "X") and deleted all his posts. |

> Don't forget he also asked a minor to contact him offline PERSONALLY! Yeah, I left out lots of stuff, but this particular offensive act did not work (Henry is fine and studying for finals). |
