Just completed 2 work units. One seemed to complete OK & is waiting verification the other reported as an error: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=3361884561 |

From that task result. 194 (0xc2) EXIT_ABORTED_BY_CLIENT <message> finish file present too long </message> I think I have seen a similar messages when Windows decides to restart a video driver. Do you have anything in the windows event log of a driver crash/restart? SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

Today I installed intel_gpu astropulse OpenCL app. I've already got 3 errors. The app I'm using is 2083 downloaded from Mike's website. I'm using it, because I want to crunch only on GPU and don't know of any other way that with lunatics and aimerge.cmd. Can someone help me find out what is wrong? The tasks are: 3360213456 3359475138 3359182142 |

3360213456 3359475138 <- This one is definitely missing the file "AstroPulse_Kernels_r2083.cl" for compilation. 3359182142 For the other one's i don't know the reason for erroring out. I see, the tasks are restarted a lot of times. Check your system for driver restarts and eventually overheating of the intel GPU. Aloha, Uli |

The file is in the "C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu"...
BOINC is set to only use GPU while the computer is not in use so everytime I do something the computation stops. I also stopped the BOINC manager (with tasks) a number of times to do some stuff. Could these be counted as restarts? |

Could these be counted as restarts? Yes, that is quite sure the reason for the restarts. Nevertheless check your system for overheating, i see you're crunching on a notebook. I'm doing the same crunching on both GPUs but use TThrottle to keep temperatures in 75°C range and only use 3 of 4 (hyperthreaded 8) cores. Aloha, Uli |

95% load on 4CU quite not the same 95% on the 29 CU for example. So 4W means nothing until one looks for performance too. But yes, Intel GPU is quite energy efficient indeed. SETI apps news We're not gonna fight them. We're gonna transcend them. |

Anyone know what to write? Downloaded Mikes latest AP Intel OpenCL 2083 and gets this! I've updated the app_info as what is written into the aistub file! 2014-01-31 21:51:32 | | OpenCL CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (OpenCL driver vendor: Intel(R) Corporation, driver version 3.0.1.10878, device version OpenCL 1.2 (Build 76413)) 2014-01-31 21:51:32 | SETI@home | Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform 2014-01-31 21:51:32 | | app version refers to missing GPU type intel_gpu 2014-01-31 21:51:32 | | app version refers to missing GPU type intel_gpu EDIT: I have no screen attached but GPU Caps Viewer can use the Intel Opencl gpu in it's test and its working! It looks like it's not finding the GPU. Try plugging your monitor into the motherboard socket to make sure the GPU is active. On a second note mine seems to have successfully completed two work units since last night but nothing more has been allocated and downloaded. Any ideas how to provoke this? |

My trick to get Boinc to see any GPUs that don't have monitors attached is to extend the desktop onto them: That is right click on the desktop, chose 'Screen resolution', click the Detect Button, then find the Intel GPU, and where it says Multiple displays 'No display detected' change it to 'Try and connect anyway on:VGA', then restart Boinc. Anyone know what to write? No Intel GPU is listed on that machine SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

had same problem so I just hooked up an hdmi cable from motherboard to monitor even though I'm using dvi-d off of my GTX 760. And it came to life. |
