Workunit 1394755216 1/ Why can't ATi/AMD Raedons be more specifically named just like Nvidia cards? 2/ Why do different application types require another task being sent out for a conical result when 2 tasks have already produced the same numbers? The first is very annoying and the 2nd is even more so, plus the last PC that this task has gone to is another iffy 1 so will good returns be found to be "to many errors"? Can't there be better way to get results between different applications without a 3rd or 4th required? Cheers. |

Workunit 1394755216 ATI doesn't have an api for programmers to use to determine the GPU fitted, so ATI detection has to be hardcoded into Boinc, 2/ Why do different application types require another task being sent out for a conical result when 2 tasks have already produced the same numbers? Just because they both found single pulses: 13 and repetitive pulses: 30, doesn't mean they are exactly the same, there are some differences between the two: Rep. pulse: peak_power=9e+006; dm=-896; fft_num=0; scale=1024; ffa_scale=7; period=2.4692e-206 Claggy |
