Not what Fish head expected

‘Yes’ vote on 40 per cent – down one point on last month – and ‘No’ unchanged on 46 per cent.
I did not know there were so even between Yes and No :)
Exciting.
When is the election?

AGAINST SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE
Actress Emma Thompson - "Why insist on building a new border between human beings in an ever-shrinking world where we are still struggling to live alongside each other?"

FOR SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE
Actor Sean Connery - "As a Scot and as someone with a lifelong love for both Scotland and the arts, I believe the opportunity of independence is too good to miss

Skåne southern part of Sweden also have their own flag and they are proud of it.
Do they also want independence?

Wales?

Agreed! Would Sweden like to join the United Kingdom too? Come on in - the water's lovely!

United Kingdom or United Kingdoms?

News from Sweden today about the election.

The greatest criticism has Harry Potter author JK Rowling received. She lives in Scotland since twenty years and therefore can vote. In June, she donated a million pounds to the campaign, "Better Together". In a statement, she compared some of the Scottish Nationalists with the death eaters, the horrible ghosts that constantly threatens Harry Potter.

Anyone over 16 years old can vote?

By accident I saw this today:)

and
http://sco.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_Language_Dictionaries
Ye can help Wikipaedia bi expandin it!
It's funny because I can now understand Scottish, most of it:)
A lot of Scandinavian words are used instead of contempary English words.
No Google Translate needed...

Anyone seen the movie The Last King of Scotland?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_King_of_Scotland_(film)
My girlfriend actually met Idi Amin in Uganda at a party many years ago.
Sean Connery was also there.
Both were very friendly and they had a great time.
Sounds very uncredible but this is true.

Maybe that's where old Idi got his idea to insult the English by offering to send them food aid :)

Mr Salmond and Mr Darling. Funny names:)
When undecided voters are factored out support stands at 55% for No and 45% for Yes, a 2% move towards Yes from last month, ICM found.

Oh my giddy aunt! Where's that damned single malt Scotch, I need a drink!

A "yes" vote would devastate the BBC

To all Jocks, please vote...

YES

...that'll save on the TV licence!

Oh dear.
An independence "Yes" vote would break up the BBC with "devastating" consequences for Scottish broadcasting, pro-Union figures have claimed.

Mr Yousaf said: "We know that countries of Scotland's size can make a huge difference to the lives of people in the developing world. Independent countries such as Norway, Sweden, Finland and Ireland all rank higher than the UK in the Centre for Development's tables.
