It's lovely for children when "society" gets involved...

Social experiment gone wrong

...over 50 years later...

"an internal investigation showed that some of the documents detailing the organisation's involvement have disappeared - Save the Children admits they could have been deliberately destroyed."

...nothing new there then.

This probably belongs in the racist thread, it is similar to the residential schools in Canada that have been mentioned there. Although not as bad, the intent was the same.

Or the similar schools in the USA.

My previous response was about the Poster's usual 'Believer in Abraham' Anti ALL Christen Believers.

Funny, I thought Jews and Muslims believed in Abraham too ...

At the age of 75, Abraham left Haran and went along with his 12 tribes south to Canaan, which they are told by God. Abraham was there at 86 years old father of Ishmael. At 100 years old, he became the father of Isaac, who through his son Jacob according to Genesis became the progenitor of the people of Israel. Abraham was 175 years.
After Sarah died at 127 years of age, Abraham took Keturah to wife and the sons were Simran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Sua.

Could you Believe that?

Well I can't disprove it any more than you can disprove Thor is the designer.

Oh my word, no wonder our education is so FUBARed.

Philosopher of Law says teachers should not work after 5pm

Law Philosopher's career

Which is why a Nontechnical Education (Engineering is an example of a Technical Education) , is not a Science, and their 'Ideas' should be taken with a 'Grain of Salt'.

Which may be on point if the person making the comment was indeed a Professor of Law, rather than a former corporate lawyer and the current Education Secretary of the UK. Btw, an engineer is not necessarily a scientist, though a philosopher (non-technical education) may be. Perhaps you intended to post this to the "facts are boring" thread?
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

Seems to me that only those that exclusively advocate home schooling could believe that teachers do not have a role to play in education. If you can find a place where I've supported that position I'll get you a green star.

Btw, it was not your post that was intended to be the target of the comment underlined, it was CLYDE's for suggesting "non-technical = not science" and "engineer = scientist", neither of which appear to me to be "facts".
