Average turnaround time -12763.997746505 days

Does this mean that my computer returned the work unit before it received it from Boinc?

I've been wondering about that too.
Anybody know the answer?

Yes! you must be using one of those new quantum computers and it is putting out a quantum polarity field which is causing a paradox in the space-time continuum. If you don't take it offline immediatly, all life as we know it could be destroyed! You might be able to keep it online if you reverse the polarity and adjust the harmonics of your quantum containment field to match the isofrequency of the subatomic bonds within the CPU. But be sure to keep an eye on the plasma flow regulators or they could blow and overload the entire EPS grid!

Yes, I've been watching some star trek recently and no, it has not adversely affected my grasp on reality! Scotty! Beam me away from these men in white coats!

Err... yeah, it is late and I should be in bed. So anyway, I believe the turnaround time is being tested in the alpha/beta projects now. We are probably just seeing random numbers pulled from dark recesses of the database. Not sure why they added the code to the web pages before making it work in the database but so be it :)

Thanks for the warning Toby
Have done as you suggested plasma flow has stabilised

It's just a reporting error. It looks like its reporting average time in seconds*(-1) as days. At least it's a start.

Still looking for something profound or inspirational to place here.

Fixed - the transitioner uses a "streamlined" DB query
which reads only the needed fields.
received_time wasn't being read, so received_time - sent_time
was a big negative #.

For my computers it starts to report valid times indeed.
