It was turned off months ago due to errors on the pages. It COULD be turned on again but I wouldn't hold my breath. The results page was turned on a couple of months ago and people are STILL asking questions about it. I believe that enabling the page will cause MANY MANY many more problems than it will solve.

The original design called for a full table scan of the results table. Since that is the same table that stores the results that are looked at as the validator and other server side processes function. SO, we had a performance problem.

It did not tell you anything significant. It was just a list of the WU in pending state. At the bottom there was a total number telling you how much credit you were asking for with all of those results.

All in all, it was not a very good page ...

But you was able to see there only WU in state of pending. Now I have to take a look on all WU. On other side, to see all units is not so bad as see only those in peding state.

Just use the "Results" table, that shows what's pending and what isn't. I bet they will remove the "Pending credit" link since it's built in with the "Results" table.

Well, yes ... but for most people (well, maybe not most, but certainly in my case), when going well will have as much as a couple hundred of WU "in flight" that are pending. The only items of interest that I can think of is the number of WU and the projected (usually high) requested credit.

I did suggest a change that would allow these two values to be stored as part of the participant's record (users table) as they are truly an attribute of the participant. Then as the results are returned these numbers are incremented up, and when credit is granted for a result, these numbers can be decremented by the appropriate amounts.

From there, if it is still of interest, I also suggested making a Pending Result table that would have the WUs listed. The primary interest here is to lower the traffic on the Results table though recent performance seems good because of the hardware upgrades and the other changes made to the operation (though I am not that thrilled that the results are retired into an unaccessable table for those of us that might be interested in the near and far past.

Though I cannot complain that much in that I also suggested the use of several tables for the data life-cycle of a result. I just had not suggested that it be a non-accessable table. Ah well ...
