I have 2 GTX 680s and I have 2 free slots open so I bought 2 r9 270x to balance heat and power usage. Only using one at the moment.

Two things I've noticed.

First the 270x hardly ever gets any work, its been sitting idle 95% of the time.

Second the GFLOPS peak number is 6720 which is way more then the calculated 2688 GFLOPS it should be rated as. My 680s are rated at 3250 which is correct.

Any suggestions?

You'll need to moderate your cache size as the fastest app version will be fed first,
For a GTX460 and a HD7770 it is around 0.75 days (for just multibeam v7 work), that is until we get a shortie storm, then the Nvidia gets all the work, and I have to lower it further.

So I finally got them running but I just decided due to heat to recommission my 2600k system as a standalone cruncher. So with two tasks running per gpu I'm seeing completion times at about 27 to 30 minutes. What are 760 ti and 660ti completing in for v7 mb tasks?

I'm getting times of around 600 seconds per
v7 gpu work unit on 560ti.

Well one of the xfx 270x's decided to spray oil or capacitor juice 360 degrees from the fan plane so it hit my motherboard. Didn't notice anything happen but regardless I updated to a z87-ws board and a 4770k. Took those cards back and picked up some superclocked 760s. I think based on driver support and the fact I love evga I'll be sticking to Nvidia for awhile more.
