My old computer a P4 I think went down yesterday, could not get it going. It is either the power cable or the unit. Waiting to hear what it is, so I apologise to my wingmen on the units for that computer

Sorry to hear of the loss. I remember those pentiums well, and they have certainly lasted a long time.

It is the power supply; P4s can be had online for less that $20 US so hope it is the CPU.

If you don't want to get that involved go to a computer recycler; a very serviceable machine can be had for $100 US or less. Make sure you get one with at least one PCIe x16 slot so you can pop in a GPU. Even a seven year old machine with a newer GPU can do any normal computing task.
