In my Setiathome.berkeley.edu folder there are a lot of old ap wu's. They are all dated September 2013. Can I just delete them or are they waiting for something to happen? SETI@home classic workunits 4,019 SETI@home classic CPU time 34,348 hours |

if you are looking at the actual WU's themselves, NO!!! THe WU dates are the day they are collected. You need to use the BOINC manager to look at the sent and deadline dates for the WU's in question. I'm betting these WU's are doing just fine and don't need your intervention. BOINC does a very good job at getting work done in an efficient manner In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

AP tasks sent in September are well past their 25 day deadline, and none of your active hosts show any AP tasks in progress. So yes, you can just delete them. Under normal circumstances BOINC deletes the WUs promptly when they're no longer needed. Apparently some glitch caused that cleanup to be missed for those tasks. Joe |

Thanks, these are on the computer where I have been having all the problems and I suspect that these were scheduled to run on the CPU but I am not using the CPU because it throws errors. (I am thinking about getting a new CPU for this computer and seeing if that will make any difference) It is a real shame that my Windows 8 computer will not do a better job for SETI, and I can not help but think it has something to do with Win 8. I wish I knew what happened about December 2. SETI@home classic workunits 4,019 SETI@home classic CPU time 34,348 hours |
