I'm not a computer guy. I have no idea of the inner workings of these things.

Is there an option inside the Lunatics site that will scan my processors and video card then decide the most optimum program to increase crunching power?

In a word: no. It is recommended that you use a program like CPU-Z to determine the capabilities of your processor. Then during the Lunatics optimized app installation, you choose the highest level optimization supported by your processors, and you choose the correct GPU app (ATi vs. nVidia).

It's not really that hard, even for people that don't know much about computers. If you have any questions, people around here are more than happy to assist you.

For CPU its a detection mechanism integrated.
The installer will suggest best applcation for you.
The GPU apps you have to choose your self.

Run GPUz first to see what card you have installed.
Read install procedure careful, its self explaining.

If you are not sure ask here for further details.
