I decided to stop by and do a few tasks here with one of my extra machines and just in time for a server update and no work to do.

So I imagine as soon as the server is ready to give out the tasks I will be back doing some other Einstein or LHC's

(just typing to myself since I don't even have enough current RAC to post here)

Ok back to Max Planck and Alberts server for some New Year crunching......

So that's what is going on. An update. I was wondering why my machines were so quiet this morning. Where did you hear about this update?

The Project Administrators perform server maintenance every Tuesday, which is always announced on the front page. They've been doing this for at least the last 12 years that I'm aware of.

Most people don't notice unless something goes terribly wrong. ;-)

Which of course it has!!
Nothing to do with any "update" or "project maintenance".

There is a problem, which will be fixed when anyone is next in the lab.

Yea I was wondering also. The Tuesday maintenance doesn't usually take this long to come back online. Must be other issues.

I'm glad I came here and read this thread because I wondered also why I wasn't getting any WUs.

Thanks
