Hi folks, first time poster here and beginning 1 Dec, received notices to upgrade (via Boinc mgr) to latest v7.2.33 from v7.2.28(?). So yesterday, 2 Dec, after all remaining WU's finished and uploaded, I upgraded to v7.2.33. However today, I check my account and find this error... [http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?userid=7786195&offset=0&show_names=0&state=6&appid=] It just seems weird especially since I'm pretty sure all WU's rec'd were completed and uploaded for validation before the upgrade. Can someone explain this, obviously I'm missing something. Thanks! |

That workunit is a VLAR (Very Low Angle Range), VLARs at present are only sent to CPUs as the GPU apps are more inefficient at doing VLARs, If there is mis-communication with the server when doing a request and the Wu doesn't reach the client (or you do a project reset), next request often is a GPU request, and since the fastest app version is filled first, ie the GPU apps, the server will expire the Wu because it can't be sent to the GPU. http://lunatics.kwsn.net/1-discussion-forum/faq-read-only.msg47867.html#msg47867 Claggy |

Thanks Claggy for the response. I was doing CPU WUs before the upgrade and switched to GPU after the upgrade...son of a gun :/ |
