I am trying to upgrade and it is saying: The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click ok to try again. or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'BOINC.msi' in the box below. I have already searched my entire computer for that file. Any help? |

Try the following FAQ entry: Windows Installer Error 1706: Setup cannot find the required files / 1714: older version cannot be removed / BOINC.msi cannot be found / The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable / Error 1325. is not a valid short name Gruß Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. Ok I did the instructions, but none of them worked. Now it says Error 2718. Missing name for product code '(68D2AC29-B594-466A-8D6F-238FA2135BB5}'. I tried several older versions also. |

Did you verify that your download of the installer is complete and not corrupted before starting it (size, MD5 checksum)? Gruß Gundolf |

Ok I got it fixed, I used Step 2 from the link you provided. TYVM for the help! Since the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility was discontinued by Windows, as it is quite powerful to use and with misuse you can wreck your Windows... they'd rather that you use their Program Install and Uninstall. |
