As per discussion in the last Mystery Kitchen Tool thread, I am hereby starting the all new, totally different, almost exactly the same Mysterious Miscellaneous Tool Time game. The rules will be pretty much the same as Kitchen Tool, only the tool can be anything and doesn't have to be kitchen related. Since the last two versions of the Kitchen Tool thread didn't post the rules, I'll state them as I know them (corrections welcome): 1. The previous winner posts a picture of some sort of strange-looking tool. 2. Other people guess what it is. The poster tells them if they're right or wrong, with any other comments he/she sees fit. 3. After no new guesses have been made for a couple of days, the poster should provide a hint. 4. If there is still no correct answer given, the poster may declare the panel stumped, give the answer, and post another picture. 5. Whoever posts the correct answer is the winner and posts the next tool. Go back to 1. I'll start in a separate post. Well, now that we've established that tools can be anything and don't have to be kitchen-related, I'm going to start with a kitchen tool, because I had it ready to go already. I hope this isn't another rerun. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Since there's nothing in the picture to give it perspective, here are the given dimensions: 10.5 x 11.9 x 10.7 inches David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

It's got three cutters on it, must be a woodworking tool of some sort, a planer? Really close. It is from a woodworking shop. It is not a standard planer head. Those have long blades with the cutting edge along the length. This has the cutting edge on the end. A bit more precision in the answer please. BOINC WIKI |

It's got three cutters on it, must be a woodworking tool of some sort, a planer? Let me rephrase that a bit. You are right as far as you have gotten. A bit more detail though. BOINC WIKI |

Is it what they call a fly cutter, it would be in a metal shop. Definitely from a wood shop. Right idea though. BOINC WIKI |
