My 2 desktops @ work have been asking for new Tasksfor almost 18 hours now from looking in the Event Logs, but the Logs keep stating there are no new tasks available.... Is this something wrong within the community? I hate to have 2 desktops sitting here over the 4-day weekend with no work to do... Thanks in advance, -=Ray=- |

I'm having the same issue. It happens from time to time, probably maintenance or a system issue. It will pass :0 Extraordinary claims require Extraordinary proof. |

Look at these links (you will see everyone can't get tasks now): http://fragment1.berkeley.edu/newcricket/grapher.cgi?target=/router-interfaces/inr-211/gigabitethernet6_17&ranges=d%3Aw&view=Octets (low green = low/no downloads) http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.html 'Results ready to send 0 0 ' For problems like this - in the future look for a thread named: Panic Mode On (XX) Server Problems? Edit: Of course I didn't know a few minutes ago it will be "4-day weekend" in the USA When this long weekend starts? Now 'Current local time in Berkeley' is 'Wednesday, 27 November 2013, 07:25:15 PST' http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=791 Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |

Actually, it has been since 11-26-13 around 1:15pm.... Guess, I'll just sit and wait then... I went and built 8 more 12 core machines and I was going to configure them for Seti@home over the long 4-day weekend but instead I think Ill go fishing now... Thanks for the heads-up. =-Ray-= |

Actually, it has been since 11-26-13 around 1:15pm.... That was the hours of the weekly system maintenance. Every week on Tuesday during those hours the entire site goes down so they can backup the database. The forums and handing out workunits are both directly connected to the database and thus must be turned off during the maintenance period. |

One of my machines ran completely out of GPU work, and the other is down to a handful. I just manually updated the empty one a couple of minutes ago, and it got 102 tasks. The other still hasn't gotten anything as of now. *sigh* |

How did you manually update the empty machine? Please enlighten me! When on the Projects Tab, Select Seti@home, Then just hit 'Update', as long as it wasn't less than 5 minutes and 3 seconds since the last request then the Scheduler could potentially send you work, (It would refuse you otherwise) (each time a Boinc asks for work for a device and doesn't get it, it then Backs off the next request for a longer time interval, hitting Update resets that Backoff, Clicking 'Properties' will tell you what the Backoffs are) Claggy |

I did a manual update on Seti and nothing. The server status page is showing 59 seti@home results ready to send with 0 Astro pulse. Its been "stuck" for quite a while. |

I run 3 other projects that I use as backups for when SETI can't supply work. Cheers. |
