As the ethnic minority in my lab already (my PhD student is Turkish and my two MChems are Chinese and Malaysian) i'm not worried at all. Incredibly, the Government has refused to estimate how many migrants will arrive.Because these things are very hard to predict, and if the government got it wrong they'd be criticised anyway. The Mail cannot be accused of irresponsibility in raising this issue.Oh yes it can! This paper has always applauded the huge contribution made by migrants, most of whom work extremely hard and bring valuable skills to the economy.Really, they've done that quietly! Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge.
