Many years ago when SETI began I got an account and would sit for hours watching in real time the multi-colored scan happening. Where did it go? How do I get that view again?

You can view the graphics by opening BOINC Manager, selecting the Tasks tab, then selecting a Task that is currently running and clicking on the button that reads "Show Graphics".

Or, if you wish to have it come up as a screen saver, you'll need to set your system's screen saver to BOINC and it will automatically display the graphics for whatever project is currently crunching a task on your system.

NOTE that the graphics have changed slightly to look more "3D" and wobble back and forth so as to prevent screen burn. There is no way to change the graphics back to the old one you used to see in SETI@home Classic.

Two additions to OzzFan's post:

Not all SETI applications have the graphics part included. So, that works only with the CPU applications (AFAIK).

That's right, but you can suppress that wobbling in your preferences.
