If you didn't get our email detailing some of our accomplishments and plans, you can read it here. Looked up link... WOW!!!!! Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. --- George Santayana |

"wow" will do. Unbelievable. Fast radio bursts. . . I've been data-crunching for a bit over 2 years on SETI@home (November 9, 2011 was the date I signed up). To be part of this endeavor is incredible! Thanks! Viola Fury |

The "credits" you receive for computer usage is not monetized. The credits you receive are a made-up form derived from something invented by SETI software developer and SysAdmin Jeff Cobb, which he referred to as "Cobblestones". In other words, your credits are not money and they only exist on the project for which you are crunching. |

Neither do I? Cash is King. Too much hormone treated meat. Too much Monsanto veggies. Too old and outdated constitution. A crazy problem, as you Yanks use to say...... There is no God, and God never existed. |

You are aware that SETI has no say as to whether PayPal gets used or not? |

Just donate to the university and use a credit card not a debit card and you are protected, at least in this country. |

The GPU Users Group (http://www.gpuug.org/) has set up a way to make Paypal donations which are passed on to the project. Joe |

So... I'm considering a donation but I'd like to see a more detailed budget, if possible. The one listed is very broad in scope, and I'd kind of like to see what folks are being paid to run this project and how they determine that they need $120k for "systems administration and support", for instance? |

The one listed is very broad in scope, and I'd kind of like to see what folks are being paid to run this project and how they determine that they need $120k for "systems administration and support", for instance? That's an old budget, SETI@home Budget - Winter 2011 and certainly not the current budget, which the link from the donation page suggests. We haven't seen any budget for 2012 or 2013. And since 2013 is almost over, there ought to be a budget for 2014 by now also. This project doesn't seems to be especially serious when it comes to economics. Before they ask for donations, one would at least expect an up to date budget posted/linked from the donation page, and not an old budget from 2011, not very detailed either. Too much hormone treated meat. Too much Monsanto veggies. Too old and outdated constitution. A crazy problem, as you Yanks use to say...... There is no God, and God never existed. |

Last I heard, posting the Budget is up to Eric. We all know how precious his time is. The pay is nothing to write home about. Why do you think Matt goes on Tour? Much more profitable. Sure it would be nice to have a more up to date Budget, but I donate because I care to keep the door open. Thank you Andnerb and Thomas for your donations.
