My BF's dog Kira is 13 and she's deaf. We went for a walk in the woods the other week and we lost her. She couldn't hear us calling. Luckily Zoe found her! Zoe is 10 and his ears are just fine:)

I know this ones hearing is bad and eyesight is going, MY GF's will be out of it when we have to put him down. Can't walk hardly at all and can't control itself. we know it happens but it's still darn hard to take nonetheless.

Mc-D's for breakfast and a tall cup of coffee for the road this morning, San Francisco this morning for sure. Go ahead Julie send the rain now. :))

Will do Grant, have a safe trip:)

Message 1477836 - Posted: 16 Feb 2014, 3:31:13 UTC

Beer O'clock is well underway here after going through the 2 girls' rooms and half of the sunroom for their bulk rubbish this morning (about 4hrs work and a badly aching back, again) plus having a couple of mates dropping in for a liquid lunch with me (which took my mind off my back for awhile).

I managed to get half of my 8'x5' box trailer full (along side my already 2 full wheelie bins, that get emptied in the morning thankfully. I still have my son's room to go thru yet so it's lucky that I have a 3' foot cage that fits on it.

Now that leaves me with 1 full and 6 half rooms to do now before floor steaming and polishing (I'll wait a day or 2 though as to give my screwed up back a rest before getting back into it).

Cheers.

Going to San Francisco the roads were great. I spent about 3 hours there and we drove back not only raining pretty good but something going on in this one town and the traffic was backed up about 15 miles. Most times 1 hour drive but today 2 1/2. :( My GF treated me to a prim rib dinner out, man that was so good.(the beer was too):))

Time for a stiff one tonight, I hate driving in the dark when it rains.(I don't get an "A"+ for night driving these days)

Cheers

What are you to do with all those rooms now that they are empty? all the kid's are gone? Well I guess you have room to put them up on holidays. :)

The young fellow has said that he'll be back on school vacations so that he can catch up with his mates here and that leaves 2 rooms for guests.

Cheers.

After completing another 2 rooms and dismantling half a double bunk it's now Beer O'clock time.

Mean while the pile of washing in the laundry is growing further. :-)
