Rather than trying to squeeze everything into one box, instead use TWO motherboards each with two x8/x16 channel PCIe slots.

By far the easiest way and likely cheapest.

Good luck,

Happy fast crunch in',
Martin

I'd agree with Martin. Unless the GPU's were all liquid cooled, you'd be hard pressed to find a board able to fit them all in. Even with liquid cooling, there are only a couple cases I can think of that would support all the hardware, and only one of those would support two PSU's, which I'm pretty sure you'd need for that sort of configuration.

Message 1443590 - Posted: 18 Nov 2013, 1:37:54 UTC - in response to Message 1443586.

Suggest:

Case - look at NZXT Switch 810, plenty of internal volume and easy to work in (can also fit water cooling inside if desired).

M/B - try looking at Asus Rampage IV Extreme (will take 4 GPUs).

You can put 4 GPUs on the M/B but air cooling will not work. There is insufficient gap between the GPUs and they get too hot and stop working fairly quickly (I have tried it just to see how long it would take).

cheers

Good case choice. Here's another:Enermax

I built a twin 590 rig in this case, and it is designed to handle two PSU's. Newegg is saying it has been discontinued, but there are still some available on Amazon.

Asrock Extreme9 will take:
5 x PCIe 3.0 x16 Slots, 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 Slot, 1 x mini-PCI Express slot
Supports AMD 4-Way CrossFireX and NVIDIA 4-Way SLI

Price (at Newegg.com) $299.99

Warning, the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme that Lionel pointed out only supports 2nd Generation iCore processors using Socket LGA2011. An i7 3770K is a 3rd Generation iCore processor using Socket LGA1155.
