I've already changed the cpu properties, that seti can use 8 cores and 100% of my cpu, but only the GPU is used. How can I configure Seti/Boinc correctly? (100% of CPU and 100% GPU) |

Depends on some preferences. In the Seti Project preferences, what do you have set for: Use CPU Use ATI GPU Use NVIDIA GPU Run only the selected applications SETI@home Enhanced: SETI@home v7: AstroPulse v6: If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? Which settings did you change exactly? And then where did you change the preferences for CPU usage? In the online computing preferences, or in the local preferences? If in the online computing preferences: - did you make sure to save the changes with the "Update preferences" button at the bottom of the edit page? - did you make sure BOINC got those preferences in (Select Seti@Home in BOINC manager and click Update)? |

Thank you for your answer. I changed the settings online and local (the links you have posted) and it works now. Boinc loaded only cuda-files and it took a while for "him" to use new settings. I think reloading config files and restarting Boinc helped :/ |

Thank you for your answer. Somethings to keep in mind. Local settings will override website settings. As far as I know, GPU will be downloaded to you until you reach your quota then cpu work will be downloaded. Website settings take a while to take effect after you have changed then saved them. Some local configuration file changes need BOINC shut down then restarted, some don't. If in doubt, shutdown BOINC then restart it. Astropulse work units, when they're available, "pay" a few more credits than other work units, if getting the most credits matters to you.
