I’m getting a new card under warranty for the 590, I imagine they will give me a 690 if it’s still available.

What card gives the best credit on SETI at the moment?

Should I sell it and get a TITAN?

Thanks

Check out the new GTX 780ti if you want the latest/greatest/fastest/most likely most SETI credit per GPU. It's a little bit faster than the Titan, has a little less memory and it's $700 (USD) vs the $1000 (USD) for the Titan.

I recently did a cost comparison and decided on a couple of GTX 760s. They cost me $250 (USD) each and are about 1/2 the speed of the GTX 780ti and the Titan.

1/2 the speed, but 1/3 and 1/4 the price. (I was going for value.)

Not forget the 770, after the down on the prices at 300-350 US$ is hightly interesting if you want price vs performance and have few slots.

780 or 780Ti, will give about the same performance as the 590, but with a lower power bill, and a cooler case.

My 590 was a GeForce.

I'm not worried about heat as my case can handle it, and the 590 was crunching at about 75 degrees depending on the time of the year.

Also not worried about power consumption or the cost of the card because it's a freebie.

I'm after pure performance, forgetting about everything else. So if there were four identical PC's with different cards - TITAN, 780Ti, 780, 690 - at the end of 24hrs crunching which would have the most credit?

I was doing AstroPulse only on my 590 (part time), 4 work units at a time for about 2500 credits per hour.

GeForce is not the brand, it is part of the naming from Nvidia.

Brand would be EVGA, MSI, ASUS, Powercolor, etc...

Here's a review about the Gigabyte GTX780i. I haven't read it yet as I prefer EVGA. Looking at the review about the GeForce GTX780i from the same site, I'd would go with it as it is supposed to be faster, cooler, less expensive and uses less power than Titan --
