I still have no words. All that came to mind was the Lord's blessing.

Also, Gary asked me to pass on his condolences.

To Ariz and Karen, thank you both for popping in to say a few words. As I did for Sheila, I will print off this thread at a later date for the family to see.

Thank you also to everyone else that has expressed their thoughts here either directly or via others, It will be of great comfort to John's loved ones that he was so kindly thought of and remembered, by his extended Seti family.

Thanks to you, Chris, to be our relay around John's loved ones.
This is certainly very important in these hard times.

Message 1441942 - Posted: 13 Nov 2013, 14:09:40 UTC - in response to Message 1441754.

I have been asked by Dune Finkleberry (Alan our old goat) to pass on his thoughts.

"Words are inadequate to convey the deep sense of loss, not only to me, but all of us that knew him... Either actually knew him, or just knew the kind ol' John Clark. Him and his furballs. They too must be experiencing a sense of loss."

Thank you Chris. I'm finally back to say it myself. I know he's at peace with Sheila again.

I just wish I could've met the old "Curmudgeon" when Chris came to visit us.

My deepest sympathies to all his friends and family.

This comes as a tremendous shock to us all.

Didn't know him well but I do recall reading (generally with a smile) many of his posts over the years.

We always say when someone passes that they will be missed. In this case, he honestly will be missed.

I don't have many friends on my list, but John is/was there, and one of the first.

I know when it's our turn to go, that if my wife goes first, that I'll soon join her, whatever may be after. I won't need any artificial hastening to do so; nature will do as nature does. Even an eternity of oblivion would be preferable to living knowing she is forever gone.

So it may be with me, as it was with my grandfather, as it may have been with John. Some losses are too much for any mortal mind to bear. And the most Curmudgeonly hearts on the outside so often prove the tenderest inside.

Eternal peace, Curmudgeon.
