Link to the host please, since none of your hosts have a Titan fitted:

I assume you want to optimize the amount of work you get done by your Titan for SETI. Are you using the standard apps you get through BOINC, or the optimized apps that you get from Lunatics? Are you running seti@home v7? Astropulse v6?

In either case, you must specify to BOINC/SETI that you want to run more than one Work Unit at a time. The exact number you will have to find out by trial-and-error. (In my case, with GTX 680s, I run 3 at a time per card, for example. Your Mileage May Vary).

In either case, you can do this with an app_config.xml, or (if running Lunatics apps) through an app_info.xml file.

Google the xml files to get at the wiki for them.

It's not too hard (after all, I can do it).

Good luck!

If you have run the Lunatics installer, you have an app_info.xml file. Just edit it to change the count values. No point in using app_info.xml without the optimized apps. Again, what computer is it? Can't find one with a Titan.

If you want to use app_config.xml and have BOINC 7.0.40 or newer on that mafchine, here's the instructions with an example:

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration#Application_configuration

Needs to be plain text so create it in the SETI project directory with Notepad. The max concurrent lines can be omitted. Use <name>astropulse_v6</name> and <name>setiathome_v7</name> for the short names.

In either file, a count of .5 is for 2 at a time, .33 gets 3, etc. App_config overrides the setting in app_info.

As many GPUs as you can fit in the host, cash and power supply capability permitting. ;-)

But make sure to limit the total number of APs you can run on your GPUs via app_config.xml to no more than the number of CPU threads you have for SETI - 1 (because the NVIDIA GPU AP app requires a full CPU thread also to run properly) and you don't want to overcommit your CPU resources.

If you have > 1 GPU BOINC uses only the most powerfull, unless you have a (NEW FILE!!!) cc_config.xml file with option <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>. I forget the exact details; Google it to find the Wiki page for it.

I was going to say, try 3 MB's or 2 AP's to start with until your RAC settles down and them up each by 1, but now that you've added the 680 into that system you've also brought in a bottleneck to the Titan.

Cheers.
