To pull a nose at the Nvidia Titan thread, here's AMD's answer: http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/169402-to-slay-a-titan-amds-radeon-r9-290x-piledrives-nvidias-high-end-product-line The Numbers that matter: Pricetag $549 44 Compute Units and 2,816 cores. 512bit memory bus. RAM speed 1250MHz. Total memory bandwidth 320GB/s. Asynchronous command engines (ACEs): 8 (Asynchronous command engines are important for GPGPU computation workloads — each ACE can handle its own stream of parallel instructions.) |

"The GTX 780 and GTX Titan still have an edge when it comes to a guaranteed hardware frame-pacing solution (AMD is still working on this front) and better day-one driver support" The part in bold is very important to me. |

such 44 CU monster would require more changes in ATi app code to be loaded fully... or movement to long awaited SETI large tasks. They should provide better GPU load with current app too. SETI apps news We're not gonna fight them. We're gonna transcend them. |
