I know of at least 1 or 2 people here who are also Geocachers ("Simonator" and "arkayne" being among them); any others?
What do you cache as and about how many finds do you have?
I'm currently at about 1849 finds since I started in Sept. 2004 and I go by "AeroMechAZ".
If you're not familiar with it, it's basically a GPS-based version of what used to be known as Orienteering.

I first joined the website in 2009, but it was a couple of years later that i actually started looking any up, it was a former housemate (a Geologist) who first introduced me to the concept.

Finally got in touch with the cacher who had grabbed my Geocoin from a local cache a couple of years ago & never logged it as taken (online); he did log that he took it on the paper log, though. He's from the Vegas area and apologized profusely for the faux pas and promised to drop it in a cache out in that area.
He only has 4 finds & didn't realize how to log one online. I 'talked' him through the procedure (via emails), and voilá - its logged online!
Persistence pays off! I'm also going to invite him to join a few of the FB Geocaching-related pages.

Rick Mastracchio (Geocaching nickname: AstroRM) is on his way to the ISS now, carrying the Travel Bug from the 5th Grade class in the School he attended in Waterbury, CT.

From NASA.gov:
"Expedition 38 crewmates Richard Mastracchio of NASA, Mikhail Tyurin of the Russian Federal Space Agency and Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency now are safely in orbit after launching in their Soyuz from Kazakhstan at 11:14 p.m. EST Wednesday.

Mastracchio, Tyurin and Wakata will dock with the International Space Station's Rassvet module at 5:31 a.m. EST Thursday morning. NASA TV coverage begins at 4:45 a.m."

The highest concentration of Geocachers i know are in the Geology department here at Uni, i'd say a good half of them are 'cachers.
